Current cosmological proposals can be very hard for our intuition to accept, such as:
The existence of the multiverse: our universe is one of many, and the complete reality is one of infinite variety, including multiple versions of ourselves making the same or slightly different decisions. Since our ancestors never had to deal with infinity, it is a concept that our intuition tries hard to reject.
The origin of our universe: our universe appeared spontaneously (as others are continually doing). Since it is not something that we have ever witnessed, spontaneous creation does not sit well with our intuition.
Although nothing is certain, that these views are supported by the majority of those scientists most qualified to give an opinion, suggests that this is what we should believe.
